After death of Jesus, Jerusalem Church was headed by James - the brother of Jesus as per letter of Paul as below.
Galatians 1:17 I
did not go to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was.
But, without waiting, I went away to Arabia. Later, I went back to the
city of Damascus.
18 Three years later I went to Jerusalem to meet Peter.[b] I stayed with him 15 days. 19 I met no other apostles—only James, the brother of the Lord.
Galatians 2:9 James, Peter, and John
seemed to be the leaders. And they saw that God had given me this
special gift of ministry, so they accepted Barnabas and me.
Paul Shows That Peter Was Wrong
11 When Peter came to Antioch, he did something that was not right. I stood against him, because he was wrong. 12 This is what happened: When Peter first came to Antioch, he ate and associated with the non-Jewish people. But when some Jewish men came from James, Peter separated himself from the non-Jews. He stopped eating with them, because he was afraid of the Jews who believe that all non-Jewish people must be circumcised. |
Paul says more about James the brother of Jesus as head of Jerusalem community
1 Corinthians 9:4 We have the right to eat and drink, don’t we? 5 We
have the right to bring a believing wife with us when we travel, don’t
we? The other apostles and the Lord’s brother and Peter all do this.
1 Corinthians 15:5 and that he appeared to Peter and then to the twelve apostles. 6 After
that Christ appeared to more than 500 other believers at the same time.
Most of them are still living today, but some have died. 7 Then he appeared to James and later to all the apostles. 8 Last of all, he appeared to me.

LET US SEE ABOUT THE BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF JESUS
Mark 6:1 Jesus left and went back to his hometown. His followers went with him. 2 On
the Sabbath day Jesus taught in the synagogue, and many people heard
him. They were amazed and said, “Where did this man get this teaching?
How did he get such wisdom? Who gave it to him? And where did he get the
power to do miracles? 3 Isn’t
he just the carpenter we know - Mary’s son, the brother of James, Joses,
Judas, and Simon? And don’t his sisters still live here in town?” So
they had a problem accepting him.

The Greek word in Mark 6:3 for brothers and sisters that are used to designate the
relationship between and the relatives have meaning of full blood
brothers and sisters in the Greek speaking world at the Evangeslist’s time and
would naturally be taken by his Greek readers in this Sense. -New

Controversy -James is sometimes identified with James, son of Alphaeus andJames the Less. There is disagreement about the exact relationship to Jesus.
|
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_the_Less-may or may not be the same person as James the Just or James, son of Alphaeus.
In a third century letter pseudographically ascribed[3] to the second century Clement of Rome, James was called the “bishop of bishops, who rules Jerusalem, the Holy Assembly of Hebrews, and all assemblies everywhere”.[4] But like the rest of the early Christians, information about his life is scarce and ambiguous. In the non-canonical Gospel of Thomas,Jesus names James his successor: “The disciples said to Jesus, ‘We know that you will depart from us. Who will be our leader?’ Jesus said to them, “Where you are, you are to go to James the Just, for whose sake heaven and earth came into existence.'”

A Letter is there as James brother of Jesus and it is addressed to 12 TRIBES OF Hebrews only ( not to others)
James 1:1 Greetings from James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ. To “the twelve tribes” who are scattered all over the world. |
Letter also in the name of Younger brother JUDE of Jesus
Jude 1: 1Greetings from Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James. To those who have been chosen and are loved by God the Father and have been kept safe in Jesus Christ. |
The Bible got its freedom thanks to Protestants who fought the Hegemony of Vatican Roman Catholic Church. Church burnt in Cross Rev.Tyndale for translating and Publishing English Bible.
Rev.Martin Luther who want to finalise the Canan of New Testament wanted to remove few books Jude, James, Hebrews and Revealtions as he felt they are not theologically accepatable and later forced to go along with 27 books as we have now.

IF Church traditonal Stories and Beliefs say that James and Jude are brother of Jesus- because these names are in above verses as we saw above, two of the four brothers.
JAMES is said as Son of Alphaues - not same father, as Paul says. 4th Gospel tales tells another story that Brother of Jesus did not believe him.
John 7: 1 Jesus traveled around the country of Galilee. He did not want to travel in Judea, because the Jewish leaders there wanted to kill him. 2 It was time for the Jewish Festival of Shelters. 3 So his brothers said to him, “You should leave here and go to the festival in Judea. Then your followers there can see the miracles you do. 4 If you want to be well known, you must not hide what you do. So, if you can do such amazing things, let the whole world see you do them.” 5 Jesus’ brothers said this because even they did not believe in him. |
JESUS Brothers -James and Jude are the APOSTLES IN THE LIST Means 4th Gospel tale is wrong. IF 4th Gospel tale is right then Church tradition has no detail about 12 Disciples and who they are, ALL GOSPEL AND NEW TESTAMENT ARE FICTIONS TO CONVERT.
OXFORD
Dictionary of Saints -1978 – JAMES THE LESS: The sons of Alphaues is often but not certainly,
identified with the James whose mother stood by Christ on the cross and also
with James, the brother of the Lord, who saw the risen Christ and is often
called the first Bishop of Jerusalem, He is also sometimes identified with
Author of the Epistle of the St.James. If Non of this identification is
correct, we know Practically nothing about James the Less.// Page – 208.
Jesus showed extreme Jewish Fundamentalism and a Racist calling Non-Jews as Dogs and Pig and never moved with Non Jews or even Greek Jews. Paul speaks that he was for Conversion of Non-Jews, again we see a tale in Acts in which James and Jerusalem church asked Paul to do Repentance and corrective measure as per MOSAIC LAW- this is 20 years after Death of Jesus.
Acts 16: 2The believers in the cities of Lystra and Iconium had only good things to say about him. 3 Paul wanted Timothy to travel with him, but all the Jews living in that area knew that Timothy father was a Greek. So Paul circumcised Timothy to please the Jews.
Acts 21:18 The next day Paul went with us to visit James, and all the elders were there. 23. we will tell you what to do: Four of our men have made a vow to God. 24 Take these men with you and share in their cleansing ceremony. Pay their expenses so that they can shave their heads. This will prove to everyone that the things they have heard about you are not true. They will see that you obey the Law of Moses in your own life. |
Church still do not tell us truth that JESUS AND PAUL Expected the world to end in their life time - and died in Despair. Paul openly says - he is doing all this for money.
Mark 4:22 Everything that is hidden will be made clear. Every secret thing will be made known. 23 You people who hear me, listen! 24 Think carefully about what you are hearing. God will know how much to give you by how much you understand now. But he will give you more than you deserve.Luke 16:10 Whoever can be trusted with small things can also be trusted with big things. Whoever is dishonest in little things will be dishonest in big things too. Proverbs 28: 26 Those who trust in their own Faith are fools, but those who walk in wisdom will be kept safe. |
